SATELLITE NURSING SYMPOSIUM - 17.10.2026

Sr. Nurse Velina Nedyalkova, Military Medical Academy

Dear colleagues,

I am pleased to have the honor of inviting you to the Satellite Nursing Symposium at the 33rd National Neurosurgery Conference at Park Hotel Pirin, Sandanski, where we will have the opportunity to share our challenges and exchange experience and ideas in a pleasant and relaxing setting.

In a time of rapidly developing technologies, artificial intelligence, and digitization of work processes, our role remains leading and essential in the treatment of neurosurgical patients. We face significant challenges in healthcare, such as staff shortages, professional burnout, and declining interest in the profession, which affect society not only in Bulgaria but worldwide.

This inspired us to choose the current symposium topic: “The Nurse as an Active Participant in the Treatment of Neurosurgical Patients”. With this topic, we aim to show that despite technological progress and digitization, the good performance of our work remains key to treatment, and our high human and professional qualities are an integral part of the favorable outcome of every disease. In addition, it will be a pleasure forus if you also take part in the scientific program with your own work, so that the discussion is active and meaningful. I believe we will have a wonderful time!

We look forward to welcoming you!
